Invitation to deliver talk at Officer’s Mess at CTCRM Lympstone for the RMHS West Country Chapter. Talk was entitled ‘Vanguard: The Intelligence & Reconnaissance Missions Behind D-Day’. The RMHS President Michael Reece remarked after the presentation ‘…you have set the bar very high and now we will have to do much head scratching to recruit future speakers able to match your standard.’

28 JUNE 2018: Royal Engineers Historical Society (REHS) Normandy Study Day
On the invitation of the OC 63 Works Group Royal Engineers (and REHS Secretary) I was invited to Chatham RHQ where the 2019 Normandy Battlefield Guides were completing a training course. Delivered the full monty version of ‘Vanguard: The Intelligence and Reconnaissance Missions Behind D-Day’ with a heavy emphasis on the work the Royal Engineers did in the planning.
